Coastline College Promise

The Coastline College Promise was established in 2017. The Promise is for recent high school graduates from Newport-Mesa, Huntington Beach, and Garden Grove High School Districts who are California Residents or qualify as an AB 540 student. The promise includes up to $1000 (textbook vouchers up to $500/semester for full-time enrollment; $250/semester for part-time enrollment) to cover textbooks for the first year, the coverage of per unit fees, college service and health services fees for the fall and spring semesters of the students' first years, high priority status for registration each semester, free tutoring services in key courses, as well as counseling and advising support. The program is for students of all academic backgrounds and is awarded on a last dollar basis. The Coastline Community College Foundation has has committed $300,000 of their annual budget to fund the Coastline College Promise through the fall semester of 2020.
